Customer Reviews: A nice game August 9, 2010 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Transformers War for Cybertron: Autobots is a pretty good game, if hard. This game is different than the Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3 versions, but it's still worth playing.
Graphics and Sound:
The music and sound effects for the game are rather average- nothing notable, but nothing bad either. However, the voice acting is superb and a definite plus. The graphics are great for a DS game. The Transformers seem to have better design than those from the previous Transformers DS titles. My rating- ****
Gameplay:
Unlike most video games where you just play levels in a linear fashion, in this game, you select a mission, choose your team, and you're off! Much like Mega Man, different opponents have weaknesses to different attacks. Otherwise, it's really a beat-'em-up game. The only fault with the gameplay is that the save points are too far apart. My rating- ***^ (three-and-a-half out of five stars)
Plot:
I haven't played much of the game, but the plot I've experienced so far is pretty decent. My rating- N/A (Not enough information for accurate rating)
What the Critics Say:
IGN gave the game a 6.5/10 "Passable." It said that it was a good game, but it just needed more work. The critics' score on Gamespot is 6.3/10, whereas the user score is 7.1/10.
Overall, this game is nice, it just seems as if it was rushed. It's still a decent play, though. Overall score- 3.7/5 (7.4/10)
