Great Wireless Headset... July 27, 2010 M. Knight (USA) I'v had this Turtle Beach X41 headset for about a week now and I love the surround sound that I get from it. I had to get use to having these on my head but after a couple of days it wasn't bad. It's comfortable over the ears and doesn't sweat at all. I'm not impressed with the quality of the contruction materials, It seems like cheap plastic and I would of loved an all black version if they had one. Also, for the price of $200.00 you would think that it would include the AC wall adaptor and the Puck talkback cable instead of having to order it thru there website. These should of been added in the package. I was considering getting the Astro A40 but there is just too many wires to deal with and I wanted the less wires as possible.
As for the sound I can't complain at all, I hear things in the background in the games that I never heard of before and I have surround sound in my house which is wierd. I have the receiver next to me on a table not anywhere near the TV, Components, or Wireless Router, This will make you hear hissing or popping sounds from what I read on other reviews. I did not use the Toslink that came with the package as there cheaply made, I bought a 20ft toslink cable from another source with better quality. If you have a battery charger then using a AAA rechargable batteries are a non issue.
Overall i'm very pleased with the headset and I hope that in the future Turtle Beach will put some thought on the materials they use to build them. Especially for the price there asking for. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a Wireless headset to play on Xbox Live.

WARNING! Do NOT buy this garbage! July 20, 2010 Enrique L. Abrego (whittier ca usa) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Ez to set up, but I have a wireless (wifi) connection, and the only way I can hear this with out "PoPs"/"Hiss" and total interuption is if I turn off my internet..... kills the purpose of this for gaming! (unless you play offline!)
Bass is terrible! there is no BASS! surround sound my ass, excuse my french.... I have a Creative X-Fi souround card and when it was detecting the speakers it failed misserably.... never had to return anything to Amazon, but im not keeping 165 dollar item for nothing, dont waste your time and get the the ACP TRI-GA600, or what i am using atm a Sony MDR-IF540RK.
Great product July 20, 2010 koshi Very useful for anything with an optical in device such as your desktop or tv and such. Works great for the xbox 360 and even works with the PS3 (I use a Bluetooth device for speech so everything is wireless on PS3) I would highly recommend it. Great sound and for the price it could be a little better. Sometimes there IS static. Overall it works just fine. Maybe the later models will adhere to the aforementioned issues.
GOOD STUFF! July 19, 2010 Katana My only gripes are its appetite for batteries (buy alotta rechargable batteries) and a weird popping sound that randomly occurs. This is not enuff to hurt your gameplay experience, tho! Very good product...the sound is AWESOME!
